Take the Pediatric Readiness Assessment Now!

The National Pediatric Readiness Project (NPRP) nationwide assessment is now open!

High Pediatric Readiness in emergency departments (EDs) is associated with up to 76% lower mortality risk for critically ill and injured children, making this assessment a powerful opportunity for EDs to understand their readiness and work to improve pediatric outcomes.

The assessment provides each participating ED:
An individualized score
Benchmark to national data
Customized gap report

Invitations are typically sent to ED nurse managers, who should coordinate with their team (including the ED medical director, pediatric emergency care coordinators (PECCs) and trauma program staff) to make sure responses are accurate.

Only one assessment can be completed per ED.

The national assessment happens just once every five years, so do not miss your chance to participate.
