Pediatric Decon- Why Kids Are Different and Why It Changes Everything
First Line Technology is hosting a focused webinar on pediatric decontamination and transport, using a hybrid decon approach for CBRN and emergency-response environments. This session will examine how responders can adapt traditional and rapid decon methods to better address the unique physiological and emotional needs of pediatric patients during hazardous-exposure incidents. Emphasis will be placed on balancing effective contamination control with speed, safety, and resource limitations in the field.
Topics include pediatric-specific considerations, temperature- and dosing-sensitivity considerations, caregiver coordination, and transport decision-making following exposure. Real-world scenarios will highlight operational gaps and demonstrate practical hybrid decon strategies that improve patient outcomes under stress. Designed for EMS, hospital preparedness teams, hazmat units, and military medical personnel, this webinar delivers actionable guidance to strengthen pediatric response capabilities in complex environments.
Call to Action: Content and technology related to Pediatric Decontamination continues to evolve, including adapting to the new PRISM evidence-based standards. Catch this webinar and take a deeper dive into pediatric decontamination with these resources. Don't forget to share generously with your prehospital and emergency department community.
